HIGH SPEED DISPERSER

HIGH SPEED DISPERSER

High-speed disperser (HSD) is a mixer featuring a cowl disc or sawtooth impeller, designed to quickly break lumps of powder or solid material, uniformly mix, wet, or dissolve them into a liquid. It is used in industries such as paint, pigments, and resin for applications like emulsification, dispersion, water or solvent-based paints and food processing.

HSD comes in fixed, hydraulic, and manual up-down lifting options, with an operating range of ~400 to ~2950 rpm, depending on the process. It can work with or without a VFD (variable frequency drive).

The shaft outside the tank is protected with a rotary guard. The HSD model also offers vessel holding via clamp or ratchet belt.

Safety measures include preventing the hydraulic cylinder from lifting or the lid from opening while the agitator is running and ensuring the agitator won’t start when the cylinder is lifted.

High-Speed Dispersers (HSD)

High-speed dispersers (HSD) are specialized mixers designed to break lumps, dissolve solids, and create uniform dispersions. They are widely used in paints, pigments, resins, and food processing for emulsification, dispersion, and wetting of powders into liquids.

HSD Mixer Overview

High-speed dispersers feature cowl disc or sawtooth impellers to efficiently break powders, disperse solids, and ensure uniform liquid mixing.

  • Designed for rapid emulsification, dispersion, and wetting
  • Ideal for paints, pigments, resins, and food processing
  • High shear performance for homogeneous mixtures
  • Prevents agglomeration and ensures smooth liquid consistency

Operational Flexibility

HSD units come in various drive and lifting configurations to suit process and vessel requirements.

  • Fixed, hydraulic, or manual up-down lifting options
  • Operating range: ~400 to ~2950 rpm depending on process needs
  • Works with or without VFD (Variable Frequency Drive)
  • Clamp or ratchet belt vessel holding options
  • Adjustable height for precise immersion depth

Safety & Protection

Safety is critical for high-speed operation. HSD units include multiple safeguards for operators.

  • Rotary guard for shaft protection outside the tank
  • Prevents hydraulic cylinder movement while agitator is running
  • Prevents lid opening during operation
  • Interlock ensures agitator cannot start when cylinder is lifted
  • Emergency stop compatible with all drive types
  • Durable construction to withstand heavy-duty operation
